My Writing Blog

Susan Jones writes romantic drama with a touch of humour, and historical sagas as Lydia King. She lives in North Warwickshire, and loves walking through the beautiful woodlands where she lives, and gardening and reading are her pastimes.

Thanks Patsy for passing this lovely award on to me.  It’s really cute isn’t it?  We’ve had a lovely lazy day today.  One of those that you need now and again.  I made some rice pudding with a pint of soya milk, add two ounces of pudding rice, couple of spoons of sugar, handful of sultanas, good dash of nutmeg, small teaspoon of flora, stir it up, cover with a plate and simmer for just over half an hour.  When it’s all plumped up and the sultanas are juicy, add a dash of vanilla essence.  For an even yummier taste, I put a spoon of plum jam in the middle of it when in the dish. One of those autumn puddings that just finishes the day off perfectly. Now off to watch Darling Buds of May.  Happy writing everyone.

Will pass this on during the week.

I haven’t made a rice pudding in a long time – think I’d better put that right. I like cardamon seeds and a bay leaf in mine.
