Hello, and welcome to my website ~ here you will get a view on my books and life as a published author. It’s been a long journey to getting here ~ finally I am now writing full time and hope you enjoy what you find here. If you want to get in touch, follow the links, and I’ll get back to you soon.

Susan Jones writes romantic drama with a touch of humour, and historical sagas as Lydia King. She lives in North Warwickshire, and loves walking through the beautiful woodlands where she lives, and gardening and reading are her pastimes.

A good book.

The affair of the thirty-nine cufflinks by James Anderson, is written in the style of P.G Wodehouse, so it’s a great book.  It all begins with Aunt Florrie, who has a great delight in constantly changing her will.

It’s at her funeral, that a murder is committed.  In comes Chief Inspector Wilkins.  It all takes place at the lovely Alderley, country mansion of Lord and Lady Bursford.  With the help of their daughter, Geraldine, he has a job on his hands to find out who wanted one member of the family silenced!

I will be looking out for more of his books.

    It sounds delightful, Susan – I don’t usually read this genre but I might give it w whirl. Was just thinking I should broaden my tastes! Thank you 🙂

    This sounds like my kind of murder Susan!!

    I am quite openly obsessed with Agatha Christie’s Poirot and Marple!
    They are what I call “nice cosy murders” LOL 🙂

      You’re spot on there Christine, cosy crimes indeed. Set in the thirties. There’s one called the affair of the blood stained tea cosy by him as well, and others.

      It doesn’t take long to read Suzanne, and has a great atmosphere to it, that’s one of the things I like best, also the characters.
