Susan Jones – Writer

My Writing Blog

Susan Jones writes romantic drama with a touch of humour, and historical sagas as Lydia King. She lives in North Warwickshire, and loves walking through the beautiful woodlands where she lives, and gardening and reading are her pastimes.

Hello and hope you’re all enjoying the sunshine, rain, wind, howling gale did you have all that last night? Sounded like we were in the wild wilderness of Alaska, but it’s nice now, and we had our salad cob lunch outside in the garden.

Still waiting for that special agent/publisher to get in touch, but I’m patient and getting on with the next story. If you want to have a sneak preview of chapter 1, put a comment in the box, and I’ll get it over to you for a look at what’s happening so far. I’ve been busy de-cluttering the ever growing piles of stuff that seems to accumulate. Is that just our family, or is everyone the same? I took a pile of books to the charity shop today, and resisted the urge to buy more. Now I’m going to read my latest library book. A saga, set in Bristol and it’s great so must get back to that, and I have another pair of colourful socks on my knitting needles, I’ll show you a picture of them when they’re done, and I might get back to you tube.

I turned our pile of cucumbers into pickles, they are simply delicious, and I can hardly think of words to tell you how crunchy and spicy tasty they are. They almost send your head reeling into space is all I can think of to compare it with. Not that my head has ever done that, but you get the gist. I’ve added a page with my books on to this so hope it’s worked I’ll have a look. Happy summer what’s left of it, and looking forward to autumn leaves crunching underfoot, and hot coffee, with cosy socks in boots to go walking in.
