Susan Jones – Writer

My Writing Blog

Susan Jones writes romantic drama with a touch of humour, and historical sagas as Lydia King. She lives in North Warwickshire, and loves walking through the beautiful woodlands where she lives, and gardening and reading are her pastimes.

Getting on with it, and now taking a break from subbing to agents and publishers.

Hello, everyone, it’s been a while since I blogged and the arrival of a snowstorm is as good a chance as any to get some lovely hand knitted sock pictures on my website, and a sunny picture of Mom, Lily and Grandaugher Sophie when she was little. And don’t you fancy one of those mince pies? We love them with a cuppa any time of day.

I’ve subbed the latest story out to enough agents and publishers now, so I’m going to step back and wait for replies, while I edit it all again. Checking and checking again that it all makes sense, and I’ve dotted the I’s and crossed the T’s. Also getting on with a Christmassy story that will be ready for next year.

I’ve been sorting through my crystals and scented candles ready for an event at the weekend. We have a stall, where I would normally read the tarot cards, but the organiser has enough already, so I can focus on the stall, and not do readings. Though I’m sure I’ll be handing out advice on the crystals and different items on the stall.
