Susan Jones – Writer

My Writing Blog

Susan Jones writes romantic drama with a touch of humour, and historical sagas as Lydia King. She lives in North Warwickshire, and loves walking through the beautiful woodlands where she lives, and gardening and reading are her pastimes.

ImageImageIt’s time I updated my photo.  The other one was taken quite a few years ago, and doesn’t look much like me at all.

This one was slightly scary at first, but it’s growing on me a bit.

Had a great weekend in Wales relaxing.

Here’s Alan so engrossed in his book, he didn’t even know I’d taken his picture.

My website is here.

You look lovely, cariad. What a beautiful smile!

I know what you mean, though. I still get a shock when an adult looks back out of photos!

    🙂

Thanks Juliet, thing is, I know I could have ten photos, and they’d get worse as they went on!! I’m sure I look better in real life:)))

What a lovely photo! And I love the one of Alan reading too – it’s a snippet of life isn’t it, rather than a pose 🙂 x

That’s it Teresa, catching someone unawares is much better isn’t it?

It’s a lovely photo, Suzy, and I love your dress.

Oh, thank you Christine, glad it shows, though when I first saw it I thought, ‘eeek, where did my Grandma come from, that’s not me!!! Funny what a photo shows:))))

A lovely new photo, Susan – we always take a step back when renewing an older photo version of ourselves!

I know Rosemary, I look so much like my Gran it’s unreal, I’m happy though, that’s most important.

I like it – it makes me feel like you’re just about to pat the piece of bench next to you and say “Come and sit down, I want to tell you a story…”.

    1. susanjanejones Avatar

Oh Vanessa, you know me so well. Of course I am, come on and sit down…..

  8. Sally Jenkins Avatar

I agree – you do look peaceful and content. I look forward to seeing it on your comments around the web.

Oh thank you Sally, it’s growing on me, well, it is me after all…

You look gorgeous – warm, open and friendly. My Gran (Bless her soul!) hogged my reflection for a while and when I complained to friend she said that Gran must have been lovely too – which she was. 🙂 So now I’m happy to see her in my mirror! Love the snap of Alan – looks like he’s thoroughly enjoying himself!

Yes Jacqueline, he was engrossed in Nigel Mansell’s autobiography that one of our customers has lent him. That other chair is where I was sitting by him reading my People’s Friend.

A lovely photo! Mine is a year old now and really needs updating too, but it’s so hard to find a pic you’re happy with isn’t it.

    1. susanjanejones Avatar

It really is Joanne, but I know if I’d had another ten done, they’d only get worse and more stilted. It’ll do though, could be worse…

    You look happy and friendly!

I never think my photos look like me – they’re all of a stranger wearing my clothes and hair.

Hi Patsy, No, in real life I’m rather a stunner, and not so short and plump:))) Actually, I do laugh a lot, and love being as friendly as possible, though it’s half term now, and that means two weeks of little darlings off school……

Well you look just lovely!! Glad you had a great time in Wales! Let’s hope this weather holds up for the Easter break! Take care

Thanks Kitty, you’re kind. Would be lovely wouldn’t it to be able to sit out and read Patsy’s book for instance. I want to get Eden’s Garden as well, looks brilliant. Talk soon.xx
