Susan Jones writes romantic drama with a touch of humour, and historical sagas as Lydia King. She lives in North Warwickshire, and loves walking through the beautiful woodlands where she lives, and gardening and reading are her pastimes.

Hello to all my lovely blog followers. Bet you wondered where I’ve been. Here I am after drinking some shrinking pop in the Torbay area. I’ve signed up to a ‘think yourself big’ course. It’s not working so far.

It was great to catch up and spend time with loved ones, and you notice Sophie found a deck chair at the local open gardens afternoon. We had a day at the races, and the chaps had winners in the first three races. Even if the third one had to be dragged out to start with. After that it shot off and was miles ahead of the other horses all the way twice round the tracks. Lovely atmosphere, and the air show was brilliant as well.

Mum and Sophie.jpgHere, Sophie and mum had been in to a summer-house shaped like a lighthouse.

On the writing front, I’m proud to say, I’m now a Pocket Novelist. I’ve had two pocket novels accepted by the lovely Maggie Swinburne at My Weekly, and will post more news when I know anything extra.

I have a few funnies to send out, and also maybe some job news next week. Enjoy the better weather that’s coming soon I’ve heard.

I am, Wendy, thanks. Years ago, it was my ambition to be a pocket novelist. Now I am. Still can’t believe it until I get to hold them in my hand:))

Yes, Julia, it was very comfy. I could easily fall asleep in there.

Thanks, Teresa. It’s so exciting. Now I’m a pocket novelist for My Weekly, same as you. I’ve been writing for a long time and it’s great to be counted among the lovely pocket novelists. They’re smashing stories and fit perfectly into a handbag. I think I might subscribe as I’ve been reading some and they’re beautiful stories. Loved your cliff hanger one, with the springer spaniel.

Oh no! You’ve done so much boinging on the sofa to celebrate your wondeful success that you’ve shrunk!

Yes, I have, Patsy. And now I’m too small to get up to the bar and ask for some grow yourself big pop:))

Thanks, Jan. I don’t think it’s sunk in yet, until I see them in print. It’s exciting. Glad you popped by.
