I began writing from a young age, but got my first articles, letters and poems published from 1995 onwards, at the age of 35. Previously I had a set of children’s stories in an annual, wrote lots of short stories, and always scribbling diary notes and ideas for my future books.
My Weekly published Rich is a Feeling, one of my many poems. That gave me an opening to write for the magazine. An article on Portmeirion, North Wales was accepted soon after, and a short story, All about the Beige.
Articles in Take a Break, Bella Summer Special, Birdwatching, Best of British, The Great War, Strange but true magazine, folowed.
